BEST MASK PRIZE!

There will be a Mardi Gras celebration Saturday night (5-8pm) at the Tidewater Grill featuring some wonderful New Orleans music, delicious Cajun food (Jambalaya, Beignets, Shrimp Po-Boys) and some of the cocktails that made New Orleans famous (Hurricanes etc). Come and have some King Cake and pick up some beads, Maybe you will get lucky and get the baby! Bring your mask too! There will be a prize for the best Mardi Gras. The special menu and special drinks will all be available for a reasonable price which I will post soon – – but plan for about $13-$15 for an entree. Please let us know a rough count of how many people you think you will bring so we can plan for enough food by emailing socialpotomacshores@gmail.com.

Supervisor Frank Principi, Prince William Board of County Supervisors,  is looking forward to attending the Potomac Shores Town Hall next Wednesday, March 1^st from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Potomac Shores Social Barn. The main topic of discussion will be the proposed Dominion Solid Waste Permit to close the coal ash ponds at Possum Point. He believes this is the most important environmental issue the County has faced in decades.

The proposed permit, history of the issue, FAQ’s, and talking points may be found here. If you are unable to make the meeting, please remember that all comments on the permit must be submitted to the Virginia DEQ by the March 10^th deadline.
