Join us for a hike highlighting Native Plant Life in Potomac Shores on Saturday, August 1st, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM! 

Charlie Grymes, an instructor for the Merrimac Farm Master Naturalists Chapter, will lead a Native Plant Life Hike, which will explore life along the North Pond Trail (~1.8 miles). Click here to view the trails map!

We will explore trees in particular and talk about how the plants and animals in this slice of the Eastern Deciduous Forest have changed since the first people arrived perhaps 20,000 years ago – before there was a Chesapeake Bay (or Potomac Shores was developed).

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, we’d like to offer a friendly reminder that, for the safety of both residents and property, the use and discharge of firecrackers and other fireworks are strictly prohibited within the Potomac Shores community. We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep the community safe.

Please note that fireworks concerns are not handled by the Association. Enforcement falls under the jurisdiction of the Prince William County Police Department.
If you observe illegal fireworks use, have safety concerns, or experience noise disturbances, please contact local authorities directly at 703-792-6500.

Pool Policy Reminders

Pool Guests:
On holiday weekends, residents are allowed a MAX of 2 guests per household. 

As our facilities remain especially busy this summer, we ask all residents to treat staff and lifeguards with respect and patience as they work to keep everyone safe and enforce community guidelines. We are proud of our lifeguards, many of whom are Potomac Shores youth who have completed extensive lifeguard and policy training. Thank you for your support in helping make this a safe and enjoyable summer for all!

As we roll into the Summer of 2026, the Town Center Committee is kicking off its fourth community survey to capture the community’s sentiment towards a wide variety of topics. This year’s survey covers transportation, retail, community amenities, aesthetics, and space activation. Previous surveys have helped inform proffer negotiations and committee investments into the town center, as well as shaped development & county leaders’ implementation of the town center plan. Please take five minutes to fill out the survey. It is open until August 30^th, and the Town Center Committee will provide a full report on its results back to the community later this year.

Please be advised that parking space striping and curb painting will take place in the Beazer Townhome Section starting tomorrow Wednesday, June 24, and Thursday, June 25, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Contractors will be on-site beginning Tuesday, June 23, to scrape and repaint yellow curbs and post “No Parking” signs in the affected parking areas.

Residents are asked to not park in designated work areas during the scheduled work hours to allow the crews to complete the painting as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please park in garages and driveways. The contractor anticipates completing all parking bays on Wednesday, with Thursday reserved as an additional day if needed. All work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Thursday.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping these areas clear during the scheduled work period.
