Dear Residents,

As we embrace the spring weather and venture out onto our community trails, I would like to remind everyone to prioritize safety at all times.

Please be mindful of your surroundings while on the trails and exercise caution. For the safety of our furry friends and little ones, we strongly recommend that pets and children stay along the designated trails while walking.

Yesterday we received a report that there was barbed wire on the Cherry Hill Road trail system. We are working to have it removed as quickly as possible. Please report any trail hazards or maintenance items to Sara Cruz at SCruz@cmc-management.com and the Trails Committee at trailspotomacshores@cmc-management.com.

INTRO TO THE TRAILS HIKE!

The bad news is that last Saturday’s Intro to the Trails Hike was rained out. The good news is that it has been rescheduled for this coming Saturday, March 30 at 9am. If you have never been on our beautiful trails and want have a free guided introduction to them, this is the perfect opportunity.   

There will be two options. The longer option will be a 4 mile loop covering the entire Powell’s Creek Trail and circling back along Potomac River Blvd. On this hike, you’ll learn all four of the trailheads that access the existing trails. The shorter option will be approximately 1.5 miles and will allow participants to experience the trail without committing to walk it in its entirety. Both hikes will start at the trailhead on Potomac River Blvd., just off of Potomac Shores Parkway, where there is a large trailhead sign. Both hikes will visit the popular Dent Family Overlook.

Dear Residents,

Please know the Easter Bunny Visit has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 24th due to the rain forecast for Saturday. 

Join us this Sunday, March 24th  from 1:00 PM-5:00PM at the Event Lawn! 

We’ll have food trucks, music by DJ Renzo, petting zoo, face painters, balloon twisters, moon bounce and photos with the Easter Bunny!

Please don’t forget to bring your badge and a chair/blanket!

The Quarterly Developer Update/Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Potomac Shores Middle School Auditorium located at 17851 Woods View Dr, Dumfries, VA 22026.  All homeowners are encouraged to attend!
