BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!!
The Trails Committee welcomes you to join us at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 15 for a hike that will cover three of our newest trails.
We will meet at the South Hawkins Trailhead at the end of Sugarberry Road. We will hike the length of that trail, then cross River Heritage Boulevard and pick up the Timber Branch Trail (TBT). This trail will take us to the Possum Nose Loop, which will eventually circle us back to the TBT. We’ll take the TBT back to River Heritage Boulevard, then road walk back to our cars. The full walk is approximately 2 1/2 miles and should take roughly two hours.
Please note that these trails are a little more challenging than the Northern Trails, with some steeper ups and downs.
To RSVP, please send an email to jordan93016@icloud.com with the following info:
1. Names of hikers
2. Ages of any children
3. Your cell number
We are happy to answer any questions you may have—same email address (above).
We look forward to hiking together on March 15!!!
Happy Trails!

Exterior Lighting & Holiday Decoration Reminders
Dear Residents,
We will be conducting light inspections in the coming weeks to help maintain the community’s appearance. We kindly request that each homeowner checks their exterior lights to ensure they comply with the community guidelines stated below.
Exterior Lighting
A well-lighted porch is a critical element to the neighborhood streetscape. As such, all homes must have at least one porch light and one exterior door light. One of the required lights must be on a photocell.
Single Family Detached Lots
– Porch Lights are required, either as wall-mounted carriage lamps flanking the entry door or ceiling mounted.
– At least one building-mounted decorative light(s) shall be provided above garage bays.
Single Family Attached Lots
– All homes shall have two (2) building-mounted lights.
Townhomes
– All homes must have one (1) building-mounted light.
Seasonal Decorations
We understand that the cold weather and recent snowstorms may have delayed some homeowners in removing holiday decorations. As a reminder, holiday lights and decorations must be removed within 14 days after the holiday.
We appreciate your cooperation and attention to this message. If you have any questions, please reach out to Karinna Zappala at KZappala@cmc-management.com.
PoSho’s First Night Hike With Stargazing – Tuesday, January 28th!
The Trails Committee and Potomac Shores Skywatchers (https://www.facebook.com/share/g/18RTSHCoyM/) will co-sponsor a night hike and stargazing adventure on Tuesday, January 28th at 6:30 PM. We will meet at the North Pond Trailhead on Potomac River Blvd near the intersection with Potomac Shores Parkway (link to location below). We will do a two mile loop hike with a stop at Dent Family Overlook. The hike will run an hour and a half, maybe less. Then those who are interested are invited to take a five minute drive to view stars through a telescope (assuming the weather cooperates).
To make sure the hike is safe, we are asking that every participant bring a headlamp or hand held flashlight. Children should either be young enough to be carried in a pack or old enough to walk independently without assistance. Please, no dogs—we love our furry friends, but want to preserve the natural night ambience.
To sign up or to ask questions, email jordan93016@icloud.com. For RSVPs, please provide the names of those in your party, your cell number, and the ages of any children.
We look forward to hiking and stargazing with you!!!!
