The Trails Committee and Potomac Shores Skywatchers (https://www.facebook.com/share/g/18RTSHCoyM/) will co-sponsor a night hike and stargazing adventure on Tuesday, January 28th at 6:30 PM. We will meet at the North Pond Trailhead on Potomac River Blvd near the intersection with Potomac Shores Parkway (link to location below). We will do a two mile loop hike with a stop at Dent Family Overlook. The hike will run an hour and a half, maybe less. Then those who are interested are invited to take a five minute drive to view stars through a telescope (assuming the weather cooperates).
 
To make sure the hike is safe, we are asking that every participant bring a headlamp or hand held flashlight. Children should either be young enough to be carried in a pack or old enough to walk independently without assistance. Please, no dogs—we love our furry friends, but want to preserve the natural night ambience.

Dear Potomac Shores Homeowners,

We are pleased to announce that the Potomac Shores Board of Directors has successfully negotiated a bulk internet renewal contract with Verizon Fios. This new agreement increases the base internet speed for all homes to 1 Gigabit, and the upgrade is included in your HOA fees. Homeowners will no longer need to pay Verizon Fios an additional fee for 1 Gigabit service.

As of December 30, 2024, all active end-user accounts within Potomac Shores were systematically updated to the new contracted 1 Gigabit data service. No action is required on your part to begin enjoying these upgraded speeds, as all accounts have been updated with the increased speed and corresponding discount.

If you notice any billing discrepancies on your Verizon Fios invoice in 2025, such as charges for 1 Gigabit service, please contact Verizon Fios directly at 1-800-501-1172 to resolve the issue.

Please note that there are eight service addresses that could not be upgraded to 1 Gigabit service due to outdated equipment in their homes. These residents have been contacted directly and will need to call Verizon Fios at 1-800-501-1172 to request an equipment upgrade.

Dear Valued Customers,

Due to the weather delays and current road conditions, we are experiencing higher than normal trash volume. While all services remain essential, our focus will be to service trash as a priority. If any recycling materials are not collected, rest assured we will return to service as soon as possible. All yard waste and Christmas tree services will resume next week, providing we have collected all of the trash and recycling first.
Please make sure all ice and snow is cleared from your collection point for our crews to have safe access to your material.
